If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re navigating your own medical journey, or supporting someone who is. Perhaps you’re facing a chronic illness that has changed your life in ways you never expected. Maybe you’re seeking clarity, strength, or a trusted partner to help you think through next steps as you explore what healing might look like for you.
I’m writing this series to share something deeply personal: my own journey through chronic illness and healing. As a therapist and someone who lives with a complex medical history, I know firsthand how overwhelming, isolating, and confusing this path can be. I also know how important it is to feel seen, supported, and empowered as you navigate the emotional impact of chronic illness.

A Journey of Questions, Uncertainty, and Growth
My own medical story has included years of searching for answers, managing multiple diagnoses, and learning how to advocate for myself. I’ve experienced the frustration of not feeling heard by providers, the emotional toll of medical uncertainty, and the challenge of balancing hope with realism.
Throughout this journey, I’ve come to see chronic illness not just as a medical experience, but as a deeply human one; one that asks us to reflect on our values, our boundaries, and how we want to live.
How My Medical Journey Shapes My Work as a Therapist
Living with chronic illness has profoundly shaped the way I support clients who are dealing with their own health challenges. I understand what it means to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system while trying to protect your energy, relationships, and sense of self.
"My goal is not to offer medical advice, but to provide a space for connection, insight, and encouragement for others who are living with the challenges of complex health conditions."
In my counseling practice, I serve adults who are thoughtful, driven, and ready to take steps to improve their well-being, even if they haven’t found the right providers or tools just yet. I act as a thought partner: someone who can help you reflect on what’s working, what isn’t, and what possibilities lie ahead as you chart your path forward.
What You’ll Find in This Series
In the posts ahead, I’ll share:
The emotional realities of living with chronic illness
Mindsets and tools that helped me along the way
Reflections on resilience, identity, and hope
My goal is not to offer medical advice, but to provide a space for connection, insight, and encouragement for others who are living with the challenges of complex health conditions.
You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone
If my experience resonates with you, and you’re looking for a therapist who understands both the emotional and practical complexities of chronic illness, I invite you to connect with me. Together, we can explore what healing and strength might look like in your life.
